Shipping to Hawaii

Step 1

Get a quote and book

You can instantly receive a price quote

and book your order using our online calculator, phone, or LiveChat.

Step 2

Vehicle preparation

Ensure your car has no more than a ¼ tank

of gas before shipping over open water, as required by carrier vessels for safety.

Cleanliness: Thoroughly clean both the interior and exterior of your vehicle to allow for proper inspection during loading and unloading.

Personal items: Remove all personal belongings from the car. Exceptions include installed infant car seats, a spare tire, a jack, floor mats, and jumper cables.

Vehicle condition: Your car must be in good working order, with fully functional brakes (including the emergency brake), properly inflated tires, intact windows, no fluid leaks, and doors that close completely.

Alarm system: If your car has an alarm system, either disable it or provide the remote at the port to prevent any issues during transit.

Step 3

Vehicle pick up

We provide Door-to-Port service for

shipping your vehicle to Hawaii. This means we’ll pick up your car as close to your home as legally and safely possible and deliver it to the port of your choice.

Alternatively, if you’re within 50-100 miles of a Mainland port, you can save money by choosing our port-to-port service. Simply drop off your vehicle at the port, and we’ll handle the rest. You’ll just need to pick up your car once it arrives in Hawaii.

Step 4

Vehicle delivery

Once your vehicle has cleared inspection
and customs, it’s ready for pick-up at the port. If you’re unavailable, you can designate someone else to pick up your vehicle. Just contact Dynamic Transportation to update your booking. Your designated pick-up person will need your booking confirmation number and vessel booking number to collect the vehicle.

Step 2

Vehicle preparation

Your vehicle must have no more than a ¼ tank

of gasoline for safety reasons when transporting it over open ocean.

Cleaning: Ensure the interior and exterior of your vehicle are thoroughly cleaned before shipment. This allows for a proper inspection at both the loading and unloading points.

Remove Personal Items: All personal items must be removed, except for infant car seats installed in your vehicle, a spare tire, a jack, floor mats, and a set of jumper cables.

Vehicle Condition: Your car must be in full operating condition. This includes fully operational brakes (including the emergency brake), fully inflated tires, intact windows, no leaking fluids, and the ability to close completely.

Alarm System: If your vehicle has a factory or aftermarket alarm, you’ll need to provide the remote at the port or disconnect the alarm.

Step 3

Shipping port drop off

When you arrive at the port to drop off

your vehicle, be prepared with the following:

Dynamic Order Confirmation: Your Montway Order Confirmation and Vessel Booking Number.
Keys and Alarm Remote: A set of keys for the vehicle, and if it has an alarm, the remote to operate it.
Vehicle Documentation: The vehicle title or lien holder authorization letter (power of attorney) if the vehicle is financed or leased, and the current registration.
Identification: A government-issued photo ID.
Power of Attorney: If the vehicle owner is not present, the drop-off party must provide proof of power of attorney from the owner. For vehicles still being financed, proof of power of attorney from the lien holder is also required.

Step 4

Vehicle delivery

Once your vehicle has cleared inspection

and customs, you’ll need to arrange for its pickup.

Port-to-Door Service: Drop off your vehicle at the port, and we’ll handle the rest. We’ll deliver your vehicle directly to your specified location on the mainland. Just make sure someone is available to receive the vehicle at your delivery address.

Port-to-Port Option: If you prefer, you can pick up your vehicle from one of our mainland ports. This option might offer you some cost savings, depending on your location.
